Burnaby & Metro Vancouver
Bathroom renovation in Burnaby
Main bathrooms, ensuites and powder rooms, rebuilt properly behind the tile as well as in front of it.
Most bathroom problems start behind the finish: a shower pan with no proper membrane, a fan that vents into the attic, galvanized pipe from decades ago. A good bathroom renovation fixes what you cannot see first, then builds the part you can. That is how we approach every bathroom, whether it is a powder room or a full ensuite.
Waterproofing is the part that matters most
Tile and grout are not waterproof. What keeps water out of the walls and the floor below is the membrane under the tile. We install a continuous waterproofing system in every shower and wet area, then tile over it. It is a small line on the quote and the most expensive thing to get wrong.
Common bathroom projects
- Tub-to-shower conversion with a curbless or low-curb walk-in shower and glass.
- Ensuite renovation with a double vanity, larger shower and heated floor.
- Main bathroom refresh keeping the layout, with new tile, tub or shower, vanity and fixtures.
- Powder room upgrades: vanity, toilet, lighting, tile and paint.
- Condo bathrooms, planned around strata approval and working-hour rules.
What it costs
We do not publish a price list, because two bathrooms of the same size can differ by tens of thousands of dollars once you account for layout changes, fixtures and what is found behind the walls. Our bathroom renovation cost guide gathers typical Metro Vancouver ranges by scope so you can plan before we visit. Your quote from us is written and itemized.
Permits
In Burnaby, replacing fixtures and finishes without moving anything usually does not need a permit, but moving or adding plumbing does. We confirm which permits your bathroom needs before the quote. See the Burnaby permit guide.

FAQ
Questions we get asked
How long does a bathroom renovation take?
A straightforward main bathroom typically takes a few weeks of on-site work once materials are on hand. Layout changes, custom glass and permit inspections add time. We give you a schedule with your quote.
Can you convert my tub into a walk-in shower?
Yes. Tub-to-shower conversions are one of the most common bathroom jobs we do, including the drain changes and waterproofing the new shower needs.
Will I need a permit?
Only if plumbing, gas or electrical work changes. Replacing a vanity, toilet or tile in the same place normally does not need one in Burnaby. We confirm it for your job before we start.
Do you renovate condo bathrooms?
Yes, within your strata's approval process and working-hour rules.
