Whole-home renovation in Burnaby

Several rooms, a full floor or the whole house, planned as one project with one schedule and one contractor.

Renovating a few rooms one at a time means living in a construction zone for years and paying for set-up, protection and clean-up again and again. Planning the work as one project lets the trades move through the house in a sensible order: rough-in everywhere, then close up, then finish. It is faster, and the rooms end up looking like they belong to the same house.

Houses, townhouses and condos

In a detached house we can open walls, move rooms and update systems. In a townhouse or condo the work is planned around strata approval, building hours, elevator bookings and shared plumbing stacks. Either way, you get one plan, one schedule and one point of contact.

Staying in the house during the work

Many families stay put by renovating in phases, for example keeping one bathroom working while the other is rebuilt. We plan the order of work around how you live, and we tell you honestly when moving out for a few weeks would be quicker and cheaper.

Older Burnaby homes

Houses from earlier decades can hide knob-and-tube wiring, galvanized plumbing or materials that need testing before demolition. We look for these at the estimate stage so they are on the quote and not a surprise halfway through.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Should I renovate everything at once or room by room?

If the budget allows, one planned project is usually faster and cheaper overall, because set-up, rough-in and inspections are done once. If not, we can phase the work so the early stages do not have to be redone later.

Can we live in the house during a whole-home renovation?

Often yes, with the work phased. For projects that take out the kitchen and all bathrooms at once, a short move-out usually saves time and money.

Do you renovate condos and townhouses?

Yes. We work within your strata's approval process and bylaws.
